Information
Terms & Conditions
These terms explain how catalogue enquiries and potential acquisitions are handled. Product pages invite an enquiry; they do not provide an online checkout or create a contract by themselves.

Catalogue and enquiries
Submitting an enquiry does not reserve an object, accept an offer or create a contract. A sale is formed only when the object, price, payment, delivery and any other applicable terms have been confirmed in writing.
Availability can change while an enquiry is being considered. An enquiry does not hold an object while acquisition details are being discussed.
Descriptions, condition and provenance
Catalogue descriptions, dimensions, dates, attributions and provenance are prepared in good faith from the information available. Antique objects show age, use, restoration and variation; photographs and screens can also reproduce colour and scale differently.
Please request any additional photographs, measurements, condition details or provenance documents needed before agreeing to acquire an object.
Prices and payment
Catalogue prices are shown in pounds sterling. Shipping, insurance, export licensing, duties and destination charges are separate unless the agreed sale terms say otherwise. Payment arrangements will be confirmed directly and an object will not be dispatched until cleared payment and any required documentation have been received.
Delivery and export
Delivery is governed by the arrangements agreed for the individual object and by the requirements described on the Worldwide Shipping & Export page. Dispatch may be delayed or declined where a licence, carrier service or lawful import route is unavailable.
Cancellations and returns
Any statutory cancellation or return rights that apply to a sale are unaffected. The information required for the particular transaction, including return arrangements and costs where applicable, will be supplied before the buyer is bound by the contract.
Contact us promptly if an object arrives damaged, materially differs from the agreed description or if you wish to discuss cancellation or return rights.
Responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. Neither party is responsible for delay caused by licensing authorities, customs, carriers or circumstances outside reasonable control, although reasonable steps will be taken to resolve the issue.
The governing law and forum for a completed sale will be identified in the terms agreed for that transaction.
Website content
The website's text, catalogue photography, branding and design may not be reproduced commercially without permission, except where the law permits.
