19thC. AFRICAN CONGO DAGGER,SUNGU- TETELA TRIBE #9965

A late 19th century African dagger from the Congo Free State, Sungu-Tetela tribe, hand forged 22cm double edged blade with a raised central rib either side, both sides with incised decoration in the form of 3 lines, the wooden hilt wrapped with copper sheet with punched decoration either side, topped with a conical copper cone. Overall 44cm.   #9965mao
