NORTH AFRICAN MOROCCAN KOUMMYA JAMBIYA #9706

 Early 20th century Silver mounted North African, Moroccan Koummya Jambiya dagger, slightly curved double edged 23cm blade, the concave side fully sharpened and the convex side half sharpened, wooden hilt with solid silver embossed top and bottom mounts, contained in the original wooden lined solid silver hallmarked sheath which is decorated all over with flower heads, the signed cartouche reads  (BANU ? ALLAH DASUBAH NABU 192?), the throat of the scabbard inscribed with the owners name "MUHAMMAD DABA SAHD", 2 decorated silver suspension rings with a black silk baldric, Overall 40cm.   #9706no 

The hallmark was used on locally produced silver items after 1st October 1921
