LATE 18TH CENTURY ALL STEEL FRENCH HUNTING SWORD #9679

A late 18th century all steel French sword, possibly for hunting, circa 1770, the 39cm single edged blade with a spear point, large central full er either side, engraved with a sun and what appears to be a mermaid, high-lighted in gilt either side, all steel turned hilt, contained in the original sewn leather sheath with iron mounts, overall 57cm   #9679mlo.
