A late 19th century Victorian skean dhu, sgian dubh, for a child or youth, 3 inch single edged scalloped back blade, (some staining) Celtic knot design pressed horn hilt, engraved silver mounts, top and bottom, the bottom mount engraved with thistles, the rear hall marked Edinburgh 1888, the top silver mount set with an orange colour cairgorm, wooden, tooled leather covered sheath, silver engraved mounts top and bottom, the bottom mount engraved with a thistle, the top mount engraved with a stags head and engraved between the horns, "AJB. 8th DEC 1889".
