OTTOMAN EMPIRE INDO PERSIAN KULAH KHUD #9297

A late 18th century Indo-Persian Kulah Khud, the hand beaten, iron, hemispherical bowl carved away around the rim to leave a flat surface covered with etched flowers and foliage and traces of gilding around the rim, the  central spike surrounded by engraving and traces of gilding and complete with 2 plume holders. Very small doubled mail links, 2 colour in a diamond pattern, the iron links riveted and the brass links butted. A few small holes in the mail and some fusing through rust, 3 small splits between the petals design of the bowl. 19 inches from top to bottom of mail    #9297alo
