A 19th century Kenyan Masai, Maasai Seme short sword, flat spatulate hand forged blade, sharp on both edges and with a central rib, wooden leather bound hilt. Overall 28½ inches, broad point 1¾ inches. Old inventory collectors number.#9130eo

Formerly in the collection of Kai Jacobsen, founder of the Danish Historical Weapons Society in 1932.

 The Maasai inhabit Southern Kenya and Northern Tanzania.
