3 inch turn-off octagonal barrel with a silver fore-sight, the muzzle cut for a key, Tutenag frame foliate engraved both sides, the trigger-guard and daisy shape pommel also of Tutenag and also engraved, the breech incorporating a back-sight with foliate engraving and signed RICHARDS. LONDON. Foliate engraved dolphin hammer, chequered walnut butt with a vacant escutcheon. Overall 7¼ inches. 

Possibly Theophilus Richards 1790-1830 who had shops in London and Birminham.

Tutenag also known as Paktong or German Silver is a mixture of copper, nickel and zinc and was greatly used in the manufacture of fire grates and has been known and used in Eastern India and China for a 1000 years it was exported to England and the Netherlands from India in the 18th century.
