19thC. AFRICAN CONGO DAGGER #8882

A 19th century African Congo dagger, double edged 7¼ inch blade, hand forged and with a raised central ridge, carved wooden handle with copper wire wrapping, loss to either side at the top of the hilt, overall 10½ inches.   #8882eo

This dagger was brought to Denmark in 1905 by Heinrich de Rohde a ships Captain on the Congo river, he died in 1908
