A 19th century Javanese small Golok machete, 21cm heavy broad single edged curved blade with a decorated fuller either side, carved wooden hilt as a stylised bird head, contained in a wooden sheath with carved decoration at the bottom of one side where there is a wooden belt loop, the top with a decorated different wood, overall in sheath 41cm. #10209eo
Provenance: Acquired by a Danish civil engineer who worked on bridge construction in the then Dutch East Indies (Indonesia) in the early 1900s. Inherited in the family to this day.
